Megan Van Tassell grew up in Salt Lake City Utah and has lived in several other places. She moved to Ely in 2001 and has raised her 5 kids here. Megan worked in various schools in the district for years as a volunteer while her kids were young. In 2020 she completed her teaching degree through Western Governors University. Megan now teaches music to DEN and McGill elementary students, as well as directing the Middle School Choir, and being co-director of the High school Choir. Megan loves to sing, play the piano and hike.
